The Denali Summit

They flew in two days early to scout the light. By the time the ceremony began, the wind had quieted, the peaks had cleared, and a hush settled over the meadow. There was nothing left to do but witness it.

We documented the morning slowly — coffee at the cabin, the first look in a wildflower field, vows spoken into the mountain air. The reception was small, lit only by lanterns and the long Alaskan dusk.

What stays with me is the silence between the moments. Denali doesn't ask for attention. It simply holds you.
